This exciting Rotary Club lunch event: \u201cWhat is the Electric Car<\/em>?\u201d<\/strong> book release will also be a chance to see a display of some of the new 2015 electric vehicles, as well as some of the new \u201cplug-in\u201d hybrids all car manufacturers starting to offer. The event is open to the public (22$ includes lunch & parking). The special electric car display at the hotel entrance will feature cars & scooters provided by the Authors and local Santa Rosa dealerships.\u00a0 Author\u00a0 Scott duPont will speak about this emerging industry & answer questions.\u00a0 Local Santa Rosa resident & contributing Author Ginny Scales-Medieros will speak about her experience driving electric cars the past 7 years.<\/p>\n

Scales-Medeiros and duPont initially crossed paths in Detroit, MI almost 5 years ago when duPont\u2019s film crew was at the International Auto Show shooting interviews for his film \u201cWhat is the Electric Car?\u201d<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em> The producers interviewed Ginny in Detroit and she made the final cut of the movie. That chance encounter in a Detroit hotel elevator was documented in Ginny’s novel: \u201cWhat is Normal?\u201d <\/em><\/strong>which duPont\u2019s company (Nemours Marketing, Inc.) signed a contract to take on the publishing rights. Scott duPont (President of Nemours & Publisher) was eager to partner with Ginny and move forward motivated by the lucrative potential of a movie deal for the adapted screenplay, \u201cWIN<\/em>\u201d already written by Pamala L. Hall, and based on Ginny’s novel, \u201cWhat Is Normal?\u201d<\/em><\/strong> www.whatisnormal.tv <\/em><\/p>\n
